NPFL Victory: Glory Edet Congratulates Akwa United
The Dean, College of Commissioners, Akwa Ibom State, Dr. Glory Edet, has congratulated the Akwa United Football Club for emerging Champions of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Dr. Edet who is the State Commissioner of Agriculture,
in a message of felicitations to the Players, Club Management, supporters and the good people of the State stated that winning the League for the first time since the establishment of the club 36 years ago was a clear manifestation of God’s grace and benevolence upon the State.
The Commissioner while congratulating Gov. Udom Emmanuel for his unwavering love, doggedness and support to sports development in the State observed that his resoluteness has resulted in the emergence of Akwa United Football Club as winner of this season’s League.
She maintained that the Club’s triumph in the League campaign was in line with Gov. Udom administration’s “Dakkada” mantra coupled with determination, hard work, discipline and dedication.
While soliciting for support and prayers from people for the State based Club, Dr Glory Edet urged the “Promise Keepers” to sustain the winning spirit with renewed vigour as they are stepping forward to represent Nigeria at the CAF Champions League campaign.
