2023: More APC structures collapse for Barr Enoidem, PDP in Akwa Ibom North West SD
The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Akwa Ibom Northwest Senatorial District, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem has appreciated the massive support his aspiration to the National Assembly has received from his Etim Ekpo Ward one kinsmen, saying he is encouraged to keep doing more.
Enoidem’s commendation came moments after over 500 APC members in his ward defected to the PDP in support of his senatorial ambition, earlier today, during the party’s ward meeting at Utu Nseghe.
Overwhelmed by such gesture, the national assembly hopeful promised not to disappoint the confidence reposed in him, while assuring that his representation will not only birth an era of people-oriented legislative engagement, but also afford him an expansive platform to deepen his infrastructural interventions and social reach.
Urging the people to extend same support to other PDP candidates, Enoidem took them through the need to sustain the legacy of peace and prosperity Governor Udom Emmanuel has brought the state, emphasizing that the support for him must transcend to other candidates of the party from Presidency to the State Assembly.
On the need to take advantage of the continuous voter registration window provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the PDP former Chief Law officer reminded them that only registered voters would be eligible to vote and used the occasion to advice youths of the area to embrace peace and desist from antisocial vices.
Describing Barr Enoidem as a faithful party man whose consistent support for the PDP cannot be ignored, some critical stakeholders including a former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barr. Nse Ekanem, Ward Chairman Emmanuel Jimmy, as well as a frontline Women Leader Mrs. Magdalene Udom assured the national assembly hopeful of massive home support.
Counting on his pedigree and performance on previous assignments, the people while expressing confidence in his capacity to give Akwa Ibom Northwest senatorial district an imposing presence at the national assembly, also acknowledged Enoidem’s knack for infrastructural and social development, as values the district will greatly benefit from.
Some of the defectors led by Israel John and Nsikanabasi Aaron in their remarks said they were back in the PDP to strengthen support for the party in appreciation of the landmark developmental strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel as well as the party’s choice of Enoidem as its senatorial candidate.
