2023: Essien Udim will benefit maximally from my representation – Barr Enoidem
Essien Udim Local Government Area witnessed one of its greatest human invasions on Friday with a visit of the 2023 PDP Senatorial, House of Representatives, and Assembly Campaigns in the area. The campaign which was preceded by a consultation visit to the Palace of the Akwa Akuku 1 of Annang land and Paramount Ruler of Essien Udim LGA, His Eminence, Obong Cosmas O. Akpan, KSJI, ahead of the campaign to Okon, Odoro Ikot 2 and Odoro Ikot Ward 1.
Addressing the campaign rally, the PDP candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem who commended the people of Essien Udim for the overwhelming support and show of love, noted that he did not come to Essien Udim to campaign as he relied on the support of Essien Udim people for victory at the polls.
The immediate past PDP National Legal Adviser, NLA, and National Chairman of Maintain Peace Movement, MPM, assured Essien Udim people of quality and effective representation and vowed to tap into the rich natural deposit in Essien Udim to develop the area and attract dividends of democracy to the people.
Enoidem noted that Essien Udim is his second home and therefore vowed to ensure that Essien Udim is carried along in his representation at the National Assembly when voted into office as Senator representing Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.
He solicited the people’s support for Atiku Abubakar as President, Pastor Umo Eno as Governor, Hon. Prince Idongesit Ntekpere as a Federal House member and Prince Ukpong Akpabio a member representing the area in the state House of Assembly maintain that PDP is the only party that can fix Nigeria and makes life comfortable for the people.
Presenting his plans for his constituents, the PDP candidate for Essien Udim State Constituency, Prince Ukpong Akpabio, thanked the people for their show of love and solidarity and assured them that all wards in the area will benefit from his representation which will restore hope, strengthen the bond of unity, brotherhood.
The former Commissioner for Trade and Investment promised to help his constituents enhance their capacity for entrepreneurial development, increased SMEs, and ability to create jobs for wealth generation through agriculture as well as improve their ability to modernize the harvesting, processing, storage, and marketing of their farm produce to derive the many value chain benefits.
He reiterated his determination to work in collaboration with Atiku Abubakar, Pastor Umo Eno, Emmanuel Enoidem, Idongesit Ntekpere, and other critical stakeholders and development partners to ensure Essien Udim people benefit from dividends of democracy from all levels of government.
On his part, the Coordinator of PDP Campaigns in Essien Udim LGA, Engr Oliver Ebong, assured Essien Udim people that just as Barr. Enoidem was the most effective and resourceful Commissioner under the Godswill Akpabio administration, he will replicate such a feat of performance in the National Assembly. “He did well as Commissioner and without a doubt, he will do well as a Senator and will give us effective representation”, he assured.
He described Barr Enoidem as a man of impeccable character and capacity to represent the zone at the National Assembly and solicited the people’s support for him to emerge as the senator representing the zone come February 25, 2023.
Speaking at Secondary School, Ikot Oko, Okon, the Chairman of Essien Udim Local Government Council, Mr. Anthony Luke, assured all the PDP Senatorial Candidates of victory to reciprocate the party’s gestures to Essien Udim, noting that Essien Udim would have been nothing without PDP.
He recalled that through the PDP, Essien Udim has produced a Governor, a Senator, Senate Minority Leader, Commissioners, etc, and also brought a massive infrastructural renaissance, empowerment, and appointments in the area, as a result, Essien Udim people will remain resolute and committed to ensuring victory for all PDP candidates in 2023 elections.
Hon. Luke assured that Essien Udim people are committed to ensuring Barr Emmanuel Enoidem emerges winner at the poll during the forthcoming elections to represent Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District at the red Chambers describing him as a square peg in a square hole.
“Barr Emmanuel Enoidem is not only the choice of the party but the choice of the entire people of Essien Udim. He has sacrificed a lot to the party and the Senatorial District and therefore deserves to represent the zone in the upper Chambers of the National Assembly”.
“Enoidem will represent us well at the Senate because he has the pedigree and capacity to give effective and efficient representation. We will vote for Enoidem for justice, equity and Fairplay, and stability in the party and the zone. PDP represents equity and justice. Just as Emmanuel Enoidem and other Federal Constituency had supported Essien Udim and Ikot Federal Constituency to produce Governor and Senator, we will also stand with Abak Federal Constituency to produce the next Senator and that is Barr Emmanuel Enoidem.
According to Hon Luke, “Essien Udim people value relationships so much, for this reason, we will vote Idongesit Ntekpere to represent us at the Federal House of representatives and we will not let our brother, Prince Ukpong Akpabio down. We will support him to win and represent us at the State House of Assembly.”
In his remarks, the Political Leader of Essien Udim, Obong Akparawa Michael Afangideh, assured the PDP candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem that Essien Udim people are united in their resolve to ensure victory for him and other PDP candidates while charging him to ensure that Essien Udim people benefit from his representation at the National Assembly
Obong Afangideh expressed optimism that Enoidem will perform well at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly when elected in February 2023.
Also speaking, the Essien Udim Chapter Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Cyril Udoh said PDP is the major political party in the local government area which is rooted in the grassroots and assured the candidates of the party of victory at the poll.
“Essien Udim PDP is one united family and we are the dominant political party in the area. We will mobilize our people to vote for all candidates of our party in the forthcoming elections,” he assured.
