2023: Akase predicts victory for PDP
Notable Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship aspirant in Benue State, Mr Terver Akase has expressed optimism that the party will clinch victory in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
He said with the emergence of the new National Chairman of the PDP, Dr Iyorchia Ayu who he noted is a founding member of the party and conversant with its ideology, the PDP will give Nigerians the people-oriented leadership they yearn for, having repositioned itself to rescue the country from poor governance.
Mr Akase stated this Monday (December 13) in Gboko, while answering questions from journalists at the decamping ceremony of third term House of Representatives Member for Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency, Dr John Dyegh who defected from the All Progressives Congress, (APC) to the PDP along with thousands of his supporters and constituents.
He commended Dr Dyegh for the wise and courageous decision to join forces with the PDP, saying all Nigerians must rally round the party under Dr Ayu’s leadership to salvage the nation from total collapse.
The 2023 guber hopeful pointed out that the gale of defections and quality of persons joining the party was a clear indication that the PDP was a party to beat at the general polls, stressing that the “umbrella was big enough to accommodate everyone.”
North Central Leader of the party and Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom in company of his wife, Dr Eunice and the National Chairman, Dr Ayu as well the State Chairman, Sir John Ngbede received Dr Dyegh with his supporters into the PDP.
Senators Gabriel Suswam, Orker Jev and Abba Moro delivered goodwill messages at the well attended ceremony which attracted party faithful across the State and beyond.
